La Fondazione avrà a disposizione una nave a vela di 61 metri capace di alloggiare più di 30 ospiti oltre l’equipaggio: non un semplice albergo galleggiante, ma un luogo dove si realizzano progetti di ricerca, educazione, terapia.
Sarà anche la prima nave scuola ad affrontare con professionalità la formazione di chi opera a contatto con il disagio. Un’università corsara, insomma, mobile, finanziariamente autonoma, che si affianca alle strutture esistenti per essere punto di incontro e scambio di esperienze diverse ed internazionali: un ambasciatore dell’Italia educante, formativa e solidale nei mari del mondo.

The Foundation has at their disposition a two-masted sailboat 61 meters in length, capable of lodging more than 30 guests as well as the crew.  It is not just a floating hotel, however, it is a place where healing, therapy, education and research can be realized.
The ship also serves as the first naval school to offer practical training to individuals within the field of social work who work with disadvantaged people.  It is essentially a “sailing university,” a mobile, financially autonomous facility which works in tandem with existing structures serving as an international meeting point for creative ideas and innovative approaches that positively impact the lives of those in need. It is, in essence, an ambassador for Italy, providing education, training and solidarity to the marine world.
